About NRL and I4IC
Numaligarh Refinery Limited is a Navratna PSU engaged in refining and marketing of petroleum products, and is expanding its refinery capacity from 3 MMTPA to 9 MMTPA along with major pipeline projects. The Industry 4.0 Innovation Centre has been established as a CPSE-led Society under the Union Budget FY 2026-27 for commissioning and operation of a Hi-Tech Tool Room and Service Bureau at Guwahati, with a spoke at Barauni (Bihar), to promote advanced manufacturing technologies, skilling and technology enablement.
1. Contractual Engagement of Advisors - 5 posts (Advt. No. 13/2026 (C))
- Advisor (Boiler Operation): 2 posts - Boiler Operation Engineer (BOE) certification is mandatory for this post.
- Advisor (Operation - ETP): 1 post.
- Advisor (Operation - Nitrogen Plant): 1 post.
- Advisor (Operation - DM Plant): 1 post.
Who can apply: Retired officers or other experienced professionals from NRL/OIL and other PSUs, Government or private sectors, with BE/BTech/BSc (Engg)/BSc/Diploma in Engineering and a minimum of 15 years of experience in operating the plant for which the Advisor is proposed to be engaged. Officers superannuating from a CPSU should have superannuated from Grade C, D or E. The maximum age is 65 years as on 12 November 2026. Candidates should have no vigilance case, departmental proceedings or criminal prosecution contemplated or pending at the time of retirement/applying.
Remuneration: All-inclusive fixed monthly remuneration of Rs 1,25,000 for Grade E, Rs 1,12,500 for Grade D and Rs 1,00,000 for Grade C retirees. Candidates from private sector/Government will receive between Rs 1,00,000 and Rs 1,25,000 based on last drawn remuneration and experience. The engagement is for a maximum of 12 months, and the place of posting is Numaligarh. Selection is through a personal interaction (physical or virtual) with shortlisted candidates.
2. Accounts Officer on Fixed Term Contract - 1 post (I4IC, Guwahati)
Who can apply: Candidates who have passed CA (Intermediate) or CMA (Intermediate) and hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in maintaining accounts and financial management (counted from the date of passing the CA/CMA Intermediate examination). Experience in Government, PSU, Society, Trust or project-based organizations will be preferred. The maximum age is 38 years.
Remuneration and terms: All-inclusive monthly remuneration of Rs 70,000 with no increment and no other allowance. The engagement is on fixed term contract basis for a maximum period of 3 years and can be terminated by either party with 30 days notice. The place of posting is Guwahati, and the selected candidate has to arrange his or her own accommodation. Selection is through scrutiny of applications followed by a personal interview of shortlisted candidates.
