Training, not a regular appointment
The training period is two years from joining. Stipend is Rs. 20,000 per month, with TA for travel to spice fields. The notice expressly says selection is training only, is not linked to regular appointment and cannot be regularised.
Eligibility
- Only Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe candidates may apply.
- Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Botany, Microbiology or Biotechnology from a recognised university/institute, with working knowledge of computers.
- Age must not exceed 35 years on the written-test date.
- Those who previously underwent training at any Spices Board office should not apply again, whether they completed it or not.
The notice says those who have not received their final degree certificate need not appear for the test. Check its additional condition about obtaining the original degree within two years of the provisional certificate.
