What Gauhati University announced
The revised notification dated 5 October 2026 says the online application process for the Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Moina Aasoni (MMNMA) and Mukhya Mantrir Nijut Babu Aasoni (MMNBA), academic year 2026-27, reopened with effect from 29 September 2026. It refers to the Director of Higher Education, Assam letter dated 29 September 2026.

Who should visit the GU office?
The notice directs eligible students who have not yet applied to visit the Office of the Secretary, University Classes. It also covers students unable to apply because of mismatches or other application-detail problems.
