Who is eligible?
- Age 18-24 years for General/EWS, reckoned on 30 September 2026. Reserved-category relaxations apply under the government rules.
- The required qualification must already be passed by 30 September 2026, from a recognised institute as a regular full-time course, with at least 50% aggregate; the notice provides 45% for eligible SC/ST/PwBD reserved seats.
- Part-time, correspondence and distance qualifications are not eligible. Other branches or claimed equivalent qualifications are not accepted.
- Higher professional qualifications such as BE/B.Tech, MBA, CA, LLB or MCA, and specified higher-qualification study/completion conditions, can make a candidate ineligible.
- Applicants who completed five years after the prescribed qualification are ineligible. The notice also restricts certain diploma/graduate candidates with a year or more of post-qualification job experience.
- Apply for only one trade. Prior apprenticeship has separate gap, termination and affidavit conditions; first-time applicants receive preference.
Selection and stipend
There is no written test. Selection uses merit based on the required qualification's aggregate marks, document checks and medical fitness. The stipend follows the Apprentices Act/Rules and IndianOil guidelines. The tentative shortlist date is 26 October 2026, and document verification is tentatively 4-6 November 2026 in the current official PDF.
Two compulsory application steps
- Codes 101 and 103: register/apply through NAPS. Code 107: register/apply through NATS. Apply to the relevant Bongaigaon Refinery opportunity using establishment ID E07191800001 (NAPS) or EASCHC000001 (NATS).
- After the apprenticeship-portal application, submit the additional details in the Microsoft form linked by IndianOil. Submit only one response.
- Use matching enrolment/registration details, email, mobile and educational information in both steps. Completing only one step or giving mismatching information makes the application invalid.
- Prepare qualification marksheets, date-of-birth proof, photo ID and applicable category/disability certificates. Keep both application records and print/download the Microsoft response after submission.
